Impact Youth started approximately three years ago. Impact had an average size of 5 teens per week. Impact had seen growth to 60 teens per Youth night and has seen over 100 different teens come through Impact. It is said that the average youth size in America is 20 teens. Impact believes we will be above average with God's help. Impact has seen the fruits of its labor. Impact has a very modern worship style and loud. Worshipping God with high energy and seeking God in quiet moments teens can't help but be molded and changed by God. We sincerely hope and believe God is going to continue to grow Impact and those who come around Impact.

Hello, My name is Mel Burns. I am the Youth Pastor for Impact out at New Life Church. I have been volunteering my time with the youth since I graduated high school. Right out of high school I attended Ashland University for two years majoring in Religion/Philosophy with a minor in Ethics. Shortly after that I joined the US Air Force and became a firefighter. God has opened doors that have lead me and prepared for a time such as this. I don't claim to be a scholar in teaching in any way, shape, or form. I do however believe in teaching the word of God directly from scripture and hope to Impact teens lives by being Real, Relevant, and Bold in sharing the word of God.
